A little about the AIR Program:

The arts have been inspired by the natural world since time immemorial.

In recent centuries artists have used their creativity to tell the stories of America’s public lands, often leading to the preservation or conservation of those lands for the greater good.

The artist-in-residence program will foster creative expression to tell the stories of the forest during the 2023 Allegheny National Forest Centennial and beyond.

A panel of arts professionals and Forest Service staff choose the artist-in-residence.

Any questions about the workshop please contact The Alleghany National Forest Bradford Ranger Station (814)363-6000.
