Ok Kane… it’s time for the Mayor’s 2022 Christmas Challenge! Last year, I hosted “Kane’s 25 Days of Christmas Kindness Challenge” and you really pulled through! This year, I am going to mix it up a bit…
Have you ever thought about volunteering and becoming more active in the community but not know where to start? If so, you are cordially challenged to attend “The More the Merrier Mayor Mixer” on Thursday, December 1st at the Kane Manor from 6-8 PM.
This event is open to anyone in the community who is interested in joining one (or more) of our volunteer organizations. Guests can mix and a-mingle with reps from our local volunteer groups and then commit to joining one of the groups in some capacity. Lots of people have expressed interest in volunteering, but it can be intimidating and overwhelming if you aren’t sure where to begin. So join us in a fun, relaxing, and oh-so-Christmas-y atmosphere to learn what is out there!
And local organizations… here is your challenge. Send one representative to the event to chat with potential volunteers. I ask that you also provide literature, giving a brief explanation of your group and listing the volunteer opportunities with estimated time commitments.
Let’s strengthen our pack and add additional volunteers to our efforts so we can enter 2023 with even more momentum!
