Community Meeting for Eastern Gateway Beautification Project
July 25, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Come share your ideas for the Eastern Gateway Beautification Project, sponsored by the Kane Area Revitalization Enterprise (K.A.R.E.)
WHO: Residents in the planning area of the Eastern Gateway Beautification Project (This area includes: Lincoln to Dawson along Biddle Street/Route 6 and Biddle Street/Route 6 to Janeway) & interested community members
WHEN: July 25th at 7:30 p.m.
WHERE: Thomas L. Kane Memorial Chapel (30 Chestnut St.)
WHY: To hear your ideas on how to improve existing homes, eradicate blight in this neighborhood, and create new, affordable housing that is more realistic for residents and people moving to Kane. We will be able to see a difference from this project by making this a more attractive entryway into town and make a more secure feeling neighborhood for current residents, prospective residents, and travelers passing through.
The meeting will be facilitated by Tracy Strickland and Mark Evans, who are architects and landscape engineers from Derck & Edson. They have been helping K.A.R.E. with the Eastern Gateway Beautification Project and will be facilitating the community meeting on July 25th.
Come on out to meet them and share your ideas!
