William R. Kidd, Instructor at Penn State School of Hospitality Management and Director Entrepreneurship & Innovation Hospitality Management Minor

Bill Kidd joined Penn State’s faculty in the Fall semester 2017.  He previously served on the faculty from 1993 through 1997.

Most recently, Bill was a Vice President of Asset Management for Hilton Worldwide from 2009 through 2017.  He oversaw a portfolio of 17 of Hilton’s owned assets in the United States including the Waldorf-Astoria, Hilton New York, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Hilton Chicago, the Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek and Hilton Waikoloa Village.

Before joining Hilton, he was a Vice President in the Asset Management group at Host Hotels & Resorts where he worked with their Design & Construction team and as an asset manager.  Prior to his tenure at Host, he was the Director of Operations for Summit Hospitality Group and previously served as a hotel general manager, Instructor of Hospitality Management at Penn State University, hospitality consultant with Laventhol and Horwath, and restaurant owner and operator.  He has over 35 years of hospitality management experience.

Bill received a BS in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management from the Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Georgia College.
